Our Training Philosophy

At NTA x TDE Sports Performance, we believe true athlete development goes far beyond just drills and workouts. Our philosophy is built around discipline, mentorship, hard work, confidence, and preparation for the next level, both in sports and in life.

Our coaches have competed at a high level ourselves, including college football at the HBCU and Division I level, so we understand what it takes to succeed. We focus on developing complete athletes through skill training, speed and agility work, football IQ, strength and conditioning, leadership, and mental toughness.

We are passionate about helping student-athletes maximize their opportunities by creating an environment built on accountability, energy, competition, and personal growth. Every session is designed to push athletes to become better on and off the field while building confidence, character, and work ethic that lasts beyond sports.

Our mission is simple: develop athletes the right way, help open doors to the next level, and give back to the community by mentoring the next generation

Meet Dana Mackin Jr.

Dana  Macklin Jr. is a graduate of Shaw University with a degree in Kinesiology. A former football player at the collegiate HBCU level, Dana competed at the next level while attending Shaw University after graduating from Fairfield Central High School.

With over 10 years of experience training youth athletes, he has worked with kids across multiple sports focusing on speed, agility, strength development, football IQ, discipline, and overall athletic performance. His passion is mentoring and developing the next generation both on and off the field while helping athletes maximize their potential through hard work, structure, and accountability.

Attended Fairfield Central High School in Winnsboro, South Carolina, a school with a strong football tradition and deep community support.

  • Has over 10 years of experience training youth athletes across multiple sports, focusing heavily on:

    • Speed & agility

    • Football skill development

    • Strength & conditioning

    • Athletic mindset & discipline

    • Mentorship & leadership

    • Building confidence on and off the field

  • Passionate about helping athletes from smaller communities gain exposure, improve development, and earn opportunities to compete at the next level.

  • Strong believer in community involvement, mentorship, accountability, and using sports as a way to help break cycles and create opportunities for younger athletes.

  • Works closely with athletes on both performance and character development, emphasizing work ethic, consistency, leadership, and preparation for college athletics.

 Meet Devontre Parnell

Devontre Parnell is a former Division 1 athlete and mentor dedicated to helping the next generation of athletes reach their full potential. Through NTA X TDE Sports Performance, he focuses on developing speed, discipline, confidence, football IQ, leadership, and overall athletic performance both on and off the field.

Built from real experience and passion for athlete development, Devontre works closely with youth and high school athletes to provide elite training, mentorship, and guidance designed to prepare them for the next level. His mission is bigger than sports,  it’s about creating opportunities, building character, and helping young athletes break cycles through hard work, accountability, and consistent development.

Devontre Parnell is a former 4-star football recruit and Division 1 defensive back who played cornerback at the University of Louisville before continuing his career at Southern Miss. Coming out of Fairfield Central High School in South Carolina, he was recognized as one of the top defensive back prospects in the state because of his athleticism, speed, and playmaking ability.
